Interesting Purees For Your Baby

When it comes to baby food, we end up feeding our baby the basic khichdi, sheera, mashed bananas, and apple stew. Don’t you think your child will get bored with it? Why? How? If you can get bored of eating the same dal chawal every day, why can’t your baby? Introduce some creamy textures, exuberant colors, and amazing flavors to your child’s food menu.

Here is a list of food items you can feed your baby –

 

1. Pea Puree – 4 to 6 months

Pea is full of vitamins A and C, iron, protein, and calcium, which makes it an ideal choice for your baby. Make a puree of boiled peas and strain them to make it as smooth as possible.

 

2. Avocado Puree – 4 to 6 months

Avocado has good fats that are good for the growth of your child’s brain and physical development. The creamy texture and color will fascinate your child. You can add a tinge of lemon, salt, and pepper.

 

3. Veggie Puree – 7 to 9 months

Potatoes, carrots, and peas will make a delicious puree. Your child may take some time to get used to it, but once they do they’ll love it. If you are a non-vegetarian and plan on introducing it to your child, you can add some sole fish in the puree also.

 

4. Cherry and Mint Greek Yogurt – 9 to 12 months

This homemade cherry puree will make a nice blend with yogurt. The sweetness of cherry and freshness of mint will balance the flavor. Your child will love having this amazing puree.
