Charting Ileana D Cruz’s Bollywood Journey with Her Best Roles

Ileana D’Cruz made a stunning debut in Hindi cinema with the film Barfi in 2012. Since then, she is making the right moves in the industry.   1. Barfi (2012)

Barfi is fondly remembered for its stellar performances  by Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D Cruz.  The film beautifully showed the emotions of love, empathy, affection, longing, and loyalty. Ileana played the role of Shruti who falls in love with a mute and deaf man, Barfi. But, under parental pressure marries the ‘safe guy’. Years later, she crosses path with Barfi, who now takes care of and has fallen in love with an autistic girl, played by Priyanka Chopra.


  1. Rustom (2016)

This period thriller based is based on true events and tells the story of Naval officer Rustom Pavri. The movie is set in the 1950s, and reveal the circumstances in which Rustom was convicted of the murder of a man named Vikram. Ileana played the beautiful Parsi wife Cynthia. Directed by Vipul Rawal, it also starred Akshay Kumar and Esha Gupta in other lead roles.


  1. Baadshaho (2017)

It is a period heist thriller, set in the Emergency era of 1975-1977. Ileana played the role of Princess Geetanjali who with the help of her rusted aides, chalks out a plan to get all the hidden treasure back. Bringing together an ensemble cast of Ileana D’cruz, Ajay Devgn, Esha Gupta, Emraan Hashmi and Vidyut Jamwal in this masala flick, Rajat Arora did a great job. Ileana gave her best as a shady princess, desperate to get her wealth back.


  1. Raid (2018)

Raid is a period crime thriller. It is based on true events based on Indian Revenue Service officer raid  in the 80s in Bihar. Ajay Devgn played the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, who peacefully lives with his wife Malini, played by Ileana. It focusses on the endeavors of a scrupulous officer who fights all odds to expose the black money hoarded by an MP (Saurabh Shukla), on the guidance of surreptitious calls he receives from an anonymous informed.
